Description

Brownie Filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Rolls:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter: In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Combine ingredients: Whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, stirring until batter forms.
  4. Cool and assemble: Let batter cool. Spread over puff pastry, add mini chocolate chips, roll into log, slice, and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Brush rolls with egg wash and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Finish and serve: Dust with powdered sugar, cool slightly, and serve warm or at room temperature.
