6 oz uncooked spaghetti, 2 tablespoons butter, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 large egg (beaten)

For the Filling:

1/2 cup ricotta or cottage cheese, 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage, 1 small onion (diced), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 1/2 cups marinara or pasta sauce, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, then mix with butter, Parmesan, and beaten egg.
  3. Form crust: Press spaghetti mixture into a greased pie dish to form a crust.
  4. Add cheese: Spread ricotta/cottage cheese over crust.
  5. Cook meat: Cook ground beef/sausage with onion, garlic, add marinara, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Layer: Spoon meat mixture over cheese layer, top with mozzarella.
  7. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted.
