Cupcake Batter:

- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup blackberry puree (strained)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare the batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in vanilla extract, lime zest, and lime juice. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the dry mixture. Gently fold in the blackberries.
- Bake the cupcakes: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Make the frosting: For the frosting, beat the softened butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, lime juice, and blackberry puree, and beat until creamy and fluffy.
- Frost and garnish: Frost the cooled cupcakes and garnish with extra blackberries and lime zest.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, add a bit more lime zest to the frosting.
- You can use frozen blackberries, but thaw and drain them first to avoid excess moisture.
