Steak Filling:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin), chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Assembly:
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 6 slices provolone cheese, halved
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté Ingredients: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and bell peppers in olive oil until softened. Add chopped steak, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until steak is browned.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll crescent dough and arrange 8 triangles in a circle on the baking sheet. Add provolone and steak mixture to each triangle. Fold and seal the dough.
- Bake: Brush dough with beaten egg and bake for 20–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve: Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
