- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Garnish:
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add diced onion and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Cook Ground Beef: Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add Cabbage: Stir in chopped cabbage and cook until it begins to soften.
- Season and Simmer: Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Cover and simmer until cabbage is tender.

Notes
- For a low-carb version, omit the diced tomatoes and use tomato sauce or skip tomato products entirely.
- You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
