Pasta:
- 12 ounces gramigna pasta (or substitute with fusilli or bucatini)
Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 ounces Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve pasta water and set pasta aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: Sauté onion and garlic. Add sausage, cook until browned. Deglaze with white wine, add cream, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer.
