Description

Frozen Berry Yogurt Bites are a refreshing and healthy snack combining fresh strawberries, blueberries, and creamy Greek yogurt, topped with dark chocolate drizzle, chopped peanuts, and flaky sea salt. These bite-sized frozen treats are perfect for a quick, nutritious indulgence during warm days or as a guilt-free dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit and Yogurt Mixture

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped peanuts
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the Fruit and Yogurt: Combine the chopped strawberries and blueberries in a bowl. Add the Greek yogurt and stir gently until the mixture is well incorporated.
  2. Portion the Mixture: Using a 1/3 cup measure, scoop rounds of the yogurt and berry mixture onto a parchment-lined sheet pan or cutting board, spacing them slightly apart.
  3. Freeze the Bites: Place the sheet pan in the freezer and freeze the yogurt bites for about 30 minutes until they are firm.
  4. Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle: Heat the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate becomes smooth and easily drizzleable.
  5. Decorate the Bites: Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer and drizzle each with the melted chocolate. Sprinkle each bite with chopped peanuts and a pinch of flaky sea salt to enhance the flavor.
  6. Final Freeze and Storage: Return the decorated bites to the freezer for an additional 2 to 5 minutes to set the chocolate. Store the finished yogurt bites in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for creamier texture and better flavor.
  • Substitute nuts with seeds for a nut-free version.
  • Adjust the sweetness by choosing yogurt with or without added sugar.
  • To speed up the chocolate melting process, use a double boiler instead of microwave.
  • Enjoy immediately after final freeze for a firmer bite or let sit a few minutes at room temperature for a softer texture.
