Description

This Easy No-Fail Chocolate Fudge recipe is a simple, delicious treat made with semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and a touch of vanilla. It’s a no-bake dessert that requires only a few ingredients and minimal prep time, perfect for holiday gatherings or anytime you need a quick, indulgent sweet fix. Optional nuts add a delightful crunch, while refrigeration ensures a smooth, firm texture that’s easy to cut and serve.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Ingredients

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional, such as walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking dish: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to make removal of the fudge easier after it sets.
  2. Melt the chocolate mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir constantly to prevent burning, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add flavorings and nuts: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and if using, the chopped nuts. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour and chill: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula for an even layer. Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm enough to cut.
  5. Cut and serve: Once set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the dish. Cut into approximately 25 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • You can freeze the fudge for longer storage.
  • For extra flair and texture, sprinkle flaky sea salt or festive sprinkles on top before chilling.
