Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Broth and Noodles
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 8 oz egg noodles
Creamy Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add Broth and Seasoning: Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in the ranch seasoning mix. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Cook Noodles: Bring the mixture to a boil. Add the egg noodles, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover the skillet and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
- Finish the Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and the cooked chicken pieces. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the noodles and chicken beautifully.
- Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and fresh flavor before serving.
