Ingredients
Scale
For the taco meat:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
For the sticks:
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- Salsa or sour cream (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the baking sheet: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the taco meat: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until liquid is absorbed. Let cool.
- Prepare the sticks: Roll out pizza dough, cut into strips. Fill each strip with taco meat and cheese. Fold and seal, forming sticks. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake the taco sticks: Brush sticks with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Serve: Serve warm with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or shredded chicken as alternatives.
- For extra flavor, add chopped jalapeños or onions.
- For crispier sticks, use an egg wash instead of butter before baking.
