Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Dough & Topping
- 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
- Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix everything thoroughly until the filling is well combined and creamy.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
- Fill and Roll: Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each dough triangle. Carefully roll the dough from the wide end toward the narrow end, slightly sealing the edges to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place each rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down to maintain shape and prevent unrolling.
- Brush with Butter: Lightly brush the tops of the crescent rolls with melted butter to help them brown beautifully and add a rich flavor.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
- Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and serve the cheesy chicken crescent rolls warm for best taste and texture.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and convenience.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a little heat.
- These rolls also freeze well after baking—just reheat in the oven or air fryer.
