Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Seasoning
- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cubed
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic Butter
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Tortellini and Sauce
- 10 oz cheese tortellini
- 1½ cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Cooking Fat
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Pat the steak dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Season all sides with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning to ensure flavorful meat.
- Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear each side for 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté garlic in butter: Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Toss steak in garlic butter: Return the cooked steak cubes to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce, coating them evenly. Remove from heat and keep warm.
- Cook tortellini: Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Warm Alfredo sauce and combine: In a separate saucepan, gently warm the Alfredo sauce over low heat. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir until the pasta is fully coated.
- Plate and garnish: Serve the cheesy Alfredo tortellini on plates and top with the Cajun garlic butter steak. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of cracked black pepper for added flavor and presentation.
Notes
- Use ribeye for a more tender and flavorful steak or sirloin for a leaner option.
- Adjust Cajun seasoning amount to taste for spiciness.
- Make sure not to overcook the steak to retain juiciness.
- Fresh parsley adds a lovely color and freshness to the finished dish.
- Leftover steak can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
