Description

This Cajun Garlic Butter Steak with Cheesy Alfredo Tortellini is a quick and flavorful dish perfect for a satisfying dinner. Juicy cubed steak seasoned with Cajun spices is seared to perfection in a garlic butter sauce, served alongside tender cheese-filled tortellini coated in creamy Alfredo sauce, garnished with fresh parsley for a burst of freshness.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak and Seasoning

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garlic Butter

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Tortellini and Sauce

  • 10 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1½ cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Cooking Fat

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak: Pat the steak dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Season all sides with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning to ensure flavorful meat.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear each side for 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic in butter: Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
  4. Toss steak in garlic butter: Return the cooked steak cubes to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce, coating them evenly. Remove from heat and keep warm.
  5. Cook tortellini: Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. Warm Alfredo sauce and combine: In a separate saucepan, gently warm the Alfredo sauce over low heat. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir until the pasta is fully coated.
  7. Plate and garnish: Serve the cheesy Alfredo tortellini on plates and top with the Cajun garlic butter steak. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of cracked black pepper for added flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Use ribeye for a more tender and flavorful steak or sirloin for a leaner option.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning amount to taste for spiciness.
  • Make sure not to overcook the steak to retain juiciness.
  • Fresh parsley adds a lovely color and freshness to the finished dish.
  • Leftover steak can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
