Ingredients
Scale
Fudge Base
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup instant vanilla pudding mix (dry)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate Ganache Topping
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to easily lift out the fudge later.
- Make the Fudge Base: In a saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the mixture is melted and smooth to avoid scorching. Remove from heat, then quickly stir in the instant vanilla pudding mix, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Set the Fudge Base: Pour the white chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly with a spatula. Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the topping.
- Prepare the Chocolate Ganache: In a separate small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium-low heat until it just begins to simmer—do not boil. Remove from heat and add the semisweet chocolate chips and butter. Let stand for 1 minute, then stir vigorously until the ganache is smooth, shiny, and fully blended.
- Top the Fudge: Pour the chocolate ganache evenly over the chilled fudge base and spread with a spatula to cover the surface smoothly.
- Chill and Set: Return the pan to the refrigerator and chill the fudge for at least 4 hours or until completely firm.
- Serve: Once set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into approximately 25 squares. For best texture, allow the fudge to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Allow the fudge to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving to improve texture and flavor.
- Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Ensure low heat when melting chocolate to avoid burning or seizing.
- Using parchment paper with an overhang makes removing fudge from the pan easier.
