For the Chicken:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
For Stir-Fry:
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 green onions (sliced, for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Toss chicken with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Prepare the Sauce: Mix remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Cook the Chicken: Brown the marinated chicken in 2 tablespoons of oil. Set aside.
- Stir-Fry: Sauté onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger. Add chicken, sauce, and cook until thickened.
