Cookie Dough:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Additional Mix-Ins:
- 1 1/2 cups mixed candied fruit (chopped)
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/2 cup golden raisins or chopped dates
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: Cream together butter and brown sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk dry ingredients and gradually add to wet mixture. Fold in fruit, nuts, and raisins/dates.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
