  2. Prepare Mixture: Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and milk in a heatproof bowl. Heat over simmering water, whisking until thickened.
  3. Add Coffee: Stir in dissolved coffee and vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Whip Cream: Whip 1 cup of cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Combine: Fold whipped cream into coffee mixture. Chill for 2 hours.
